We are deeply honored, thrilled and excited to announce our newest partner, Feed the Future - Partnering for Innovation (FTF-PI) and Fintrac.
Through this collaboration with FTF-PI and Fintrac, ColdHubs will install 20 new cold rooms at 10 new sites, reaching 2,000 new users and saving approximately 22,000 tons of food from spoilage per year. Five of the sites will be at markets in southern Nigeria, for retailers and wholesalers and the other five sites will be located in farm clusters in the north of Nigeria, targeting smallholder farmers.
In addition to deploying technology, the partnership will organize five days training workshops focused on postharvest loss prevention, with topics ranging from sorting, grading, packing, to on-farm cooling, and best practices in transportation, storage and preservation. It is estimated that 2,000 farmers, retailers and wholesalers will be trained over two years
